Community Service During COVID

At TypTap, we strive to create opportunities for professional and personal development. These efforts are led through a program we established called BRAVO. BRAVO is an internal program developed in partnership with our human resources department and the HCI Foundation. The program focuses on giving back to the communities we serve. Over 95% of our employee’s participate in the BRAVO program!

In a typical year, we would be gathering to celebrate with a BRAVO luncheon to spotlight our recent achievements. We have adapted from in person fundraising and volunteer service to virtual events, donation drives, and other ways that are still making a difference in our community – albeit, socially distant.

In 2020, Team TypTap delivered nearly 350 pounds of food during the Thanksgiving period to feed families in Central Florida, hosted virtual Lunch & Learns attended by hundreds of employees on topics such as mindfulness and healthy habits, and continued the annual Angel Tree tradition with Hope Children’s Home in Tampa where gifts were mailed directly to young residents to bring cheer and comfort over the holidays.

We are committed and take pride in supporting the communities that we live in and strive to serve with more empathy, resiliency, and flexibility.

We have not set this responsibility aside – we are just doing it differently.
